COVID 19 Update

COVID-19: NEW PUBLIC HOURS & PRACTICES AT WILMINGTON IRON AND METAL CO., INC.

LAST UPDATED ON July 10, 2020

BEGINNING MONDAY 7/13/20 WE WILL BE ACCEPTING ALUMINUM CANS

  • CUSTOMERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNLOADING THEIR OWN CANS
  • CUSTOMERS WILL NEED TO TAKE BAGS OR CONTAINERS WITH THEM UPON DEPARTURE

In accordance with guidance from government leadership and the CDC, Wilmington Iron & Metal Co., Inc. will begin re-opening to all customers, public and commercial, on Monday, May 18, 2020 on a limited schedule for the public. For the time being, our public business hours will be 7:30am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. Our commercial business hours will remain 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Wilmington Iron and Metal has implemented new procedures to ensure, as much as possible, a safe and low-touch transaction between our employees and our customers. Staff and signs at each location will direct you through the process.

We are requiring all customers to wear a mask or face covering while on the premises of Wilmington Iron and Metal. All employees who are in contact with customers are required to wear masks. We have implemented strict sanitary protocols for our employees regarding hand washing, cleaning of surfaces, and contact with customers and between employees.

We are limiting traffic to one vehicle in the warehouse at a time and asking all warehouse customers to please remain in their vehicle. Limiting the flow of traffic to ensure safety could result in longer-than-usual wait times during our busiest hours. We appreciate your patience as we do everything we can, to provide excellent service in these circumstances.

We are only able to have one customer in our office area at a time as we are taking appropriate measures based on available space. Please observe posted signage and floor markings to allow distance between yourself and others. MASKS / FACECOVERINGS ARE REQUIRED WHEN ENTERING OFFICE.

Please join us in observing the recommended 6 feet of physical distance between people in all areas of our facilities.

Wilmington Iron & Metal employees reserve the right to decline service to any customer who does not observe these guidelines or respond to directions. Your cooperation is appreciated.
